100 Dead as the Casualty Count Continues to Rise from the Pakistan Mosque Bombing Targeted at Police

Rescue teams continue to work through the aftermath of the deadly suicide bombing that happened Monday morning at a Sunni mosque. Most of the casualties are police officers as this was a targeted attack. 200+ are still injured or in critical condition. Authorities are still investigating who is responsible for the bombing. 

2 More Police Officers Suspended and 3 EMTs Fired for their Response to the Deadly Beating of Tyre Nichols

2 additional police officers are suspended as the investigation into the deadly beating of Tyre Nichols continues - last week 5 officers were fired and charged with 2nd-degree murder. Additionally, 3 EMTs were fired yesterday for the lack of a proper assessment and following standard medical procedures when arriving at the scene.

These emergencies have been in place since 2020, soon after the global pandemic began. When these emergencies are removed, it could affect costs to individuals since insurance companies will take on the costs of vaccines, tests, and treatments, instead of the government. This may also affect Medicaid coverage as states can remove enrollees that no longer qualify for the program.
